Terms of service.

Effective June 10, 2026. These terms govern your use of Phrasora during the private beta.

What Phrasora is.

Phrasora is a dictation service: you speak, and we turn that speech into cleaned-up text on your device. It includes apps for macOS, iOS, and Android, and a personal dictionary that learns from your corrections. Your dictionary and settings sync across your devices; history sync is optional.

Beta software.

Phrasora is in active development. Features may change, break, or be removed. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service while in beta. We work hard to never lose a dictation, but you should not rely on beta software for anything irreplaceable.

Your account.

You sign in with an email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure. You may delete your account at any time from the account page; deletion is immediate and removes your data from our systems.

Acceptable use.

  • Don’t use Phrasora to violate any law or anyone else’s rights.
  • Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Don’t resell access to the service without our written permission.

Your content.

Your dictations are yours. We claim no ownership over anything you say or type. We process your audio and text only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

Disclaimers.

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Transcription is automated and can make mistakes; review anything important before you send it.

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Phrasora will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, during the free beta, is zero.

Changes.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we’ll notify you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Phrasora after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
