Accuracy and speed

Fast text. Right the first time.

Hold a key, speak naturally, let go — and clean, punctuated text lands at your cursor in about a second. Phrasora is built so that speed never costs you accuracy on the words that matter: your names, your jargon, your spelling.

Works on Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android, and the web.

The proof

Measured, not marketed.

871 ms

Median from key release to inserted text, end to end.

1,149 ms

At the 90th percentile — the slow runs are still well under a second and a half.

95.2%

Word accuracy on 73 real human-speech recordings.

2.33%

Median word error rate on that same set, before cleanup.

Your words

It leans toward the terms you use.

A general speech model has never heard your colleague’s name or your product’s codename. Phrasora gives the cloud transcription a short, focused hint drawn from your own dictionary — so the words you actually say come back the way you spell them.

The hint is evidence-gated. A term only rides along when there’s a real sign you spoke it, so the system never forces a word you didn’t say into your text. Get a name right once, and that correction follows you across every device.

Across 520 control cases that weren’t corrections, it changed nothing it shouldn’t have — zero over-corrections.

Formatting

Shaped for where it’s going.

Cleanup removes the fillers and false starts, then formats the text for its destination. Phrasora reads which app and field you’re dictating into — never a password or secure field — so a message comes out as a message and an email comes out as an email, sign-off and all.

Three levels, your choice. Clean tidies your prose and leaves it alone. Polished smooths the grammar and flow, still prose. Structuredadds headings and bullets when you’re enumerating points — handy for notes and docs.

Clean

Your words, lightly tidied — fillers gone, punctuation in place.

Polished

Grammar and flow smoothed, always prose — never lists or headings.

Structured

Proactive headings and bullets when you’re listing things out.

Spelling

Say it, then spell it.

Rare name? Say “Sandu — S-A-N-D-H-U” and the text reads “Sandhu”, once, spelled your way. The letters always win over what was heard, even mid-sentence inside a longer name. Acronyms and codes you actually dictate stay exactly as you said them.

It only ever steps in for a real spell-out — it stayed silent on every one of 520 texts that weren’t corrections.

Common questions

The questions people ask first.

How fast does the text actually appear?

Measured end to end, from key release to text at your cursor, the median is 871 milliseconds and the 90th percentile is 1,149 milliseconds. That's wall-clock on the production pipeline, not a benchmark rig — speech goes to cloud transcription, the AI cleanup runs, and the finished text is pasted at your cursor.

How accurate is the transcription?

On 73 real human-speech recordings, word accuracy is 95.2% and the median word error rate is 2.33% before cleanup. We run a full-accuracy cloud speech model — not a smaller on-device one — so accents and fast speech hold up. The same model is used on every platform.

Will it get my names and jargon right?

When a term you use lives in your dictionary, Phrasora quietly nudges the transcription toward it — but only when there's real evidence the term was actually spoken, so it never forces a word you didn't say. Across a control set of 520 cases that weren't corrections, it changed nothing it shouldn't have.

Can I spell out a tricky word?

Yes. Say the word, then spell it — "Sandu, S-A-N-D-H-U" — and the text reads "Sandhu", once, spelled your way. The letters always win over what was heard. Acronyms and codes you genuinely dictate are left exactly as you said them.

Does the cleanup change my meaning?

Cleanup removes filler words and false starts, adds punctuation and capitalization, and applies the formatting level you chose — it doesn't rewrite your meaning. The cleanup prompt lives on our server and never ships inside a client.
